Immunizations

Routine vaccinations are recommended for babies, children and adults to protect against preventable and serious diseases, including whooping cough, influenza, mumps, measles, rubella and bacterial pneumonia. Ensuring you or your child's vaccines are up to date allows the body to be stronger and more resistant to fighting diseases. With up to date vaccines, you protect your health and that of those around you who may be more vulnerable to developing infections.

We are not administering COVID-19 vaccines at our office. As your family doctor, we are automatically notified through the Ministry of Health of all COVID-19 vaccines you receive in Ontario. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccination program in Ontario, click here.

Staying up to date on immunizations

Depending on your age and medical history, you may be due for a vaccine. Click here to view Ontario's Immunization Schedule and find out if you or your child is up to date or contact our office. Please be advised that some school aged vaccines (Meningococcal, Hepatitis B and HPV in grade 7) are provided and administered by your child's school and not by our office.

If your child is in grade 7 to 12 and you have been notified by Public Health that they are missing Hepatitis B, HPV and/or Meningococcal ACYW-135 vaccines, click her to book an appointment at the Hamilton Public Health Catch Up Clinic.

Updating immunization records has never been easier

Parents are responsible for notifying Public Health each time their child (age 0-17yrs) receives daycare or school aged vaccines from our office. Notifying Public Health in a timely manner can help prevent your child from unnecessary suspensions from school. If you would like to obtain an up to date immunization record or notify Public Health of an administered vaccine, please contact the Public Health Unit where your child goes/has gone to school:
